Biennale College – Music 2018 sucht junges KomponistInnen/LibrettistInnen-Team

La Biennale di Venezia, chaired by Paolo Baratta, announces the new edition of the Biennale College – Music with the launch of the del international call for teams consisting of a composer and a librettist, aged 35 and under. The project for the Biennale College –Music 2018 intends to promote and support the production of a maximum of 4 “low budget” chamber musical theatre operas on a comical, surreal, fantastic and/or playful theme, to be presented by the Biennale di Venezia and released in suitable formats, as well as online. The application must be submitted exclusively online between January 22nd and February 4th.
The project will be coordinated by the Director of the Music Department of the Biennale di Venezia and by the Director of the Theatre Department Antonio Latella. Biennale College is an innovative and complex experience that engages all the Departments of the Biennale di Venezia – Cinema, Dance, Music, Theatre – to promote young talents offering them the opportunity to work closely with masters to develop creations.
